Meeting Sach again was again another awesome experience. I have always wanted my brother to see Sach close up like the HOB and we got our wish. Talked to Joe for an hour, got my ax signed by Joe, stood right up front with a fresh beer and watched him jam his ass off.
An evening that is hard to beat. I can hardly believe that everytime I see him that he gets better.
Thanks Sach, you are the best.

Most excellent!!! This was my sixth Satch show and I have to say it was the absolute best. It is true that a perfect day of eating and drinking at EPCOT was sweet. And the fact that we had THE BEST seats in the entire House of Blues helped too. However, it was the quality of the sound, the energy, the set-list, the weather . . . every variable was perfect. Also, the crowd at the HOB was the best I have seen and heard. The energy level was high, the crowd response was intense, and all of it was natural. The crowd did an awesome job also with IJWR and Crowd Chant . . . they hit it 100% About the set-list . . . it was excellent. The song list was designed for high energy and it worked well. Of course I would love to have heard compositions from CP, ITLIS, SBM, and much more from SC. Since Joe only played one from SC, I would have rather heard MofTears, ORD, or CNWay. I could be here all day making a list of the songs I would have liked to hear, but with Joe's stunning inventory that is the way it goes! I would not have changed one thing about Friday night. Mountain was really cool . . . the jam at the encore was terrific and the band was tight. STU, it was good to have you back on stage!!!!!!!!

I have to concur with all of the other reviews that I've read. I can't put my finger on it, but it was definitely one of the best, if not the best, Joe show that I've been to. The Engines of Creation Joe solo show (3-hour marathon w/a 15-20 minute break) was right up there, and the tour he did with Eric Johnson as the opening act was pretty good, too. But this one was different. He came out, started rockin', and never quit! The sound was unbelievable! The best I've ever heard! Period! The low end was boomin'! Jeff's drum sound was killer! You could hear each of the four of them clearly, yet mixed. All you had to do was focus on that instrument, and you could pick it out of the mix, no prob. I'm tellin' ya', Joe was on his game that night! He was just havin' fun. Even though he's played some of those songs 100's of times, he gave each one the full measure of his attention and skill. Some of the songs he played from his older albums were: Time Machine, One Big Rush, Ice #9, Surfin' w/the Alien, AWM/AWY, Cool #9, Flying in a Blue Dream, and Satch Boogie. Some of the songs he played from his newer albums were: I Wanna Rock, Andalusia, Super Colossal, and Crowd Chant. There were just a few others, but I don't remember which ones right now, and the ones I listed weren't in that order, either. I can tell you that while he shredded on every song, my favorite three were Flying in a Blue Dream, Time Machine, and Andalusia. He absolutely blew doors on those songs, with just some unbelievable guitar work. Minutes worth of complex, yet melodic, solos and interludes. Mozart lives again!

In seeing JS every tour since 1989, this was by far the best show I have ever seen. Maybe because it was Halloween night?? Mountain was great, Joe was hilarious as he snuck out on stage with the wig and moustache to shoot some footage fo Mountain as they played. Onto the JS set. Ice-9 was great, and Andalusia was off the chain!! Joe played like a man possessed! Setlist was high energy, the crowd was electric, the vibe was very cool, and the encore was smokin'. These guys never disappoint! Thanks for a great evening!!
