This was the 1st Satch show I had the honor to attend. I was 1st in line, and my drummer, Marcus was 2nd, having arrived more than 12 hours early. I caught a Satch pick, and Marcus caught Jeff's drumstick. We know it was fate. Me being the guitarist, catching the pick, and Marcus being the drummer, catching the drumstick. Unfortunately, my wallet was stolen and the pick, along with dave mustaine's were in there. I just couldn't bring myself to remove them from my wallet. There's nothing I can do about it now, but I still know it was fate (us catching them, not it getting stolen). Greatest concert I've attended. See ya' on Aug. 14. -Jonathan Semarge I also would like to point out my initials are J.S. and my birthday is July 15th. Fate?

Joe you deserve a 10 for the first show I've seen you at. I took my girlfriend with me
and we were standing up front to your left right on the floor. I could have sworn that
in the high point of one of your songs, you looked straight at us and smiled. It was hard
to tell with your shades on, but my girlfriend said she saw it too!!!! She and I were
blown away by you and your bands performance that night. I thought it was awesome because
the music was loud, but not quite as loud as the crowd when they cheered for you...that is
what made my ears ring...and how nice of you to come back twice for two more encores.
The only downside to a concert here was all the drunks. Don't get me wrong,
I enjoy a coldie or three, but when you are too tipsy to stay balanced, go home!!! This show
is worth being sober for!!! That was cool to be only about 15 feet from the man! Joe makes
excellent use of different colors of lighting appropriate to the music (e.g. blue lights for
Flying in a Blue Dream, Maroonish for Rasberry Jam, etc.) I don't care if he comes to this
venue agin or not as long as he just comes back here somewhere!!!!!Joe is #1.

Joe proves to be a continuous legend in Rock Guitar history. His technical ability can never be questioned. His style of Rock and Roll is reflective of all that has existed in good music. Joe has a swinging sound that gets the crowd bouncing. I strongly suggest going and concentrating on the music strictly. Don't bother with the goings on around. Just let your guards down and have a great time. If you are a trouble maker, stay home. I had a lot of fun and would love to go see joe satriani at yet another show. Stu is great. Jeff Campitelli is awesome and Eric looks like he's having a lot of fun also. This is one of the best Rock shows I've ever seen!!! Thanks for a great rock show Joe!! UPDATE: 5/10/2001 Paolo Soleri Amphitheatre Sante Fe, NM US is an excellent place to see a concert, let alone play one. It looks like a dump from the outside, but dude, it is first class!!! If you people out there have nothing to do on 7/4/2001, get your ass on-line and purchase a ticket for the plane, for this concert, for a fun close up and personal venue, that G3 will be performing!!! It is small and tix will go quick. Visit Santa FE, see some desert, get some art, visit a New Mexico restaurant, have a blast!!!!!!

This is by far the BEST show I have ever seen. The Sunshine theater is a smaller but more intimate venue, and I got to stant in the front. The band played all their songs every bit as good as the recorded versions, and Joe was absolutely amazing! I probably shouldn't be so judgmental, but most bands out there these days just plain suck. Nobody solos, nobody puts on a show, nobody writes good rock grooves for that matter. Limp who? A lot of guys have this bad-ass attitude but can't play worth a sh#t! Not only can Joe burn up the fretboard and play songs with so much soul, but he puts on a great show and is very humble and in touch with his croud. Every one of those guys are musicians of the highest caliber. Stu's solo was so damn good I almost cried! Joe did things on his guitar that I though were not possible. When you go see a show you want to be blown away- that's what it's all about. I didn't want them to leave, and neither did any of the other fans. He came back for 2 encores. Everything from old to new was played, and it lasted for over 2 1/2 hours. That is what a show is supposed to be like. When Joe comes back to town, you owe it to yourself to see one of the greatest guitarists ever.

Hi Joe, Just want to say thank you for one of the best concert experiences I've ever had. I've seen a lot of concerts in my days and some of the best were on my birthday. Seeing your concert fit into that category but even exceeded my greatest expectation. I'm in Albuquerque Mew Mexico and I was born on April 18th. So Joe, you know what that means. I got to see you perform on my 47th birthday. My 20 year old son went with me. So for all of you fan's out there, this is what made the Albuquerque concert so great. Joe and the band started playing at about 7:30pm and they played until right around 9. Fifteen minutes later, they came out for a second set and played until 11pm. Right around 3.5 hours total. I don't really remember what I payed for the tickets but I can tell you this, It was worth every cent. Joe and his band emulated pure joy to play every second of the performance. It was obvious that they were having a ball. I've seen a lot of concerts to include the 1970 Cal expo Jimi Hendrix concert and even compared to Hendrix, Joe's performance will go down in my memory as second to none. There's something else I saw during that performance that I wasn't expecting to see. Every time Joe ended a song, his appreciation of the audience was obvious in the way he humbly thanked the audience for supporting and enjoying his music. Not once did Joe seem egotistical or self absorbed. Instead, he seemed more like a friend who was thanking his friends for their support. He also made it very obvious that he appreciated the efforts of his team, the band. Not only is Mr. Satriani a great guitar player, he's also a great leader. Joe had several opportunities to plug himself but every time he had a chance, he praised his band-mates instead. After one of the final songs, Joe announced the fact that Stu Hamm, his bass player has a CD coming out this summer. This magnified Joe's leadership abilities and friendship with his band. By the way, Stu Hamm played about a 20 minute solo that was absolutely out of this world. If you haven't ever seen Joe, go the first chance you get no matter what it costs, you will definitely get your monies worth. What a joy it was to watch such a great player as he happily shared his gift. Without even knowing it, he gave me a great birthday present. Thanks Joe, Sincerely, Rob Riggle (The Oogg

Wow! Great performance and only two noticeable problems, both of which were minor and were fixed. I was slightly dissapointed that some of my slower favorites such as Baroque and Day At The Beach weren't included in his set list. Over all though the show certainly was worth the cash and the long wait in line. Congratulations on a good job, I hope you can come through Albuquerque on a more regular basis.

After waiting 13 years to see Joe, it was an experience that I will never
forget. Stu kicked ass! I would gladly spend the same amount of cash or more
to see him again. Joe, make it a bigger venue and you will have groves of people
coming to see you. The show sold out and there were people still looking for tickets,
because it really is a don't-miss'show!

This was one of the best shows I have seen. There is no "production magic" that goes on in between what you hear on an album and what you hear on stage: he is every bit as spectacular as his recorded work, if not better. The sound mix was good, i.e. it didn't sound like distorted noise. Everyone could be heard well, and I thought that was great. I also was one of the lucky fans that got to meet him (Thank you website!) and he was very personable and friendly. Seeing Joe is well worth any cost!

Wow seeing Satch for the first time was great! I just hope he doesn't wait another ten years to come to Albuquerque again. It was the best concert I've ever been to, but the only thing it was really lacking was the drum solo. Stu got to do his thing, I would have liked to hear Jeff as well.

I had a spectacular time! The venue was a bit annoying, but Joe and the band really put on a show! All my favorites were played, and I loved how personable Joe was. He really brought in the crowd. As a fellow musician, Joe's style, particularly onstage is phenomenal. His guitar was a natural extension of his being, and man did it sing. Stu's Peanuts piece rocked! Woo Hoo! Hope to see you all back in Albuquerque soon...in a bigger theatre! Love ya! -aylanah

Had the honor to see Joe play live on 4-18 and I must say that I was amazed.
Joe played everything from new to old. It was a small theatre, but the music
and setup was excellent. All band members were right on, and Joe's fingers never
stopped once. Joe busted out about an hour and a half set, took a short break,
and then came out for about another two hours. I was also lucky enough to meet
Joe and his tour manager after the show. Joe is an awesome guitarist, but he is a
really nice person as well. I've seen guitarists not half as good as him act like
they're the shit. But Joe gave us his autograph and even talked to us for a while.
Excellent show. Try not to miss it whenever it comes to you!

Totaly cool show. I thought it was a real blast. My uncle and I thought the
lighting was spectacular. A lot of $ must have been poured into those lights.
I'm talking about the ones on the pillars that changed colors.
I couldn't believe how fast Joe's fingers moved across the fret board, and the
bass solo was tremendous. In the words of my uncle "He manipulated that
base like a bango." So great!!! I can imagine how tired the hands must get
after playing such a terrific show. Thanks to all the members of the
tour for taking the time to stop in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Spectacular!!!!
