Another nite, another Joe gig

PG and his band rocked again, and I'm sure they swapped out one song in the set list. Still grinning from ear to ear, and ripping away, all looked like they were having fun.

Joe and the gang were even better tonight. Seemed to be really fired up, Joe finding all sorts of cool little riffs and notes that he was having fun with, as were the band.

No change to the set list (from Bristol), and nothing wrong with the sound for me (this time from row 14!).

Caught up with a few T2J'ers, but didn't hang around to meet Joe as I normally would - and regretted it (of course)!

Best joe gig i have ever been to dont understand why people are complaining about sound quality(bristol the night beforewas dreadful compared and it was ok) it was top notch, B9 was the place to be. 10's of thousands of watts of speaker power coming straight out in my ears

love your fav dinosaur, and didnt even take long to think about your answer, and what makes it better it actually exists http://www.enchantedlearning.com/subjects/dinosaurs/dinos/Allosaurus.shtml

well done joe

see you next time

I have to agree with some other guy here, the acoustics were cack at the Pavillion, the Bass player was way to loud and Joe wasnt loud enough for me on some tracks. Even so Paul Gilbert is a stunning player..comes out says "Good to be here....LETS ROCK!!" and by god did he ever!!!! Joe's entrance was great too...i must say following Gilbert he had to deliver some stunners and the good news was he did..."Time Machine" was quality for me, i was a bit chessed he didnt do Astik Vaysel because that is his best track off the new album, but he did do Mysteron which was like listening to the record itself...great stuff from the alien warrior.....I have still to hear him do his best ever song "Back to Shalla Bal"..why on earth does he never do this song...its better than Surfing by a mile..Come on Satch pull this one out the bag next year at Bournemouth...you'll find most Satch fans hanker after this one!!!! All in all the night was amazing...what a wealth of world class musicians under one roof and it was an honour to be in their company for that short space of time....Rock on!!!!!

Having attended several of Joe's concerts (and comparing), the sound at Bournemouth Pavilion I consider was very poor. The finer nuances of Paul & Joe's playing (& singing) were completely lost in a mush of distorted sound. (Vocals they needn't have bothered cos you couldn't pick out a word they sang!). The bass player in Paul's band was way too high and the poor girl on keyboards struggled to be heard. Why don't those sound engineers move around the auditorium during the concert and actually sample (without the aid of an expensive pair of 'cans' /headphones), exactly what the audience are actually hearing and not the crystal clear sound desk version they are listening to. Plerformances spoilt by poor sound.

STUNNING!!!!!!!! i think is the word im looking for. being right down in the front row in seat A17 was absolutely the place to be. Gilbert first warmed us up with some of his own and racer x classics such as scarified. then it was time for THE JOE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! amazing opening with i just wanna rock then he just slams straight into satch boogie which just sends all of our feet tapping to the rhythm. one of my favourite songs satch played was one big rush. i also found out about a very small....... BUT VERY FEROCIOUS DINOSAUR!!!

i may have missed my train home and had to wait till 5 in the morning to get back but it was so worth it......... especially meeting joe and getting my guitar signed by him.

overall it was an amazing show and i hope that he comes back to bournemouth sometime.

thanks to all the crew and the band for putting on a kick ass show.

Wow what a gig that was. The sound was even better than it was at bristol the night before.

As promised Jeff we tryed to make as much noise as possible. So thanks for the drum stick!!

Also thanks Joe for answering our long going question of Whats your favourite dinosoar. You could not have given a better response. Even though it was not the one we were expecting.

WOW!!!! I have seen Joe once before briefly when he played at Hyde park supporting Aerosmith(PS Galen nice Aerosmith shirt!! :) ) And last nights gig was so stunning. Thanks to Paul Gilbert for playing to.

So Satch!!!

Awsome set list the new songs totally sound better live. Time machine was truly heavenly. I think for the duration of that song i was in my own little world that really was the best song ive ever heard live. Was diggin the leather trousers to! only a rock legend can get away with it!!! Galen looked to be enjoying himself a ton jammin on Jeffs drum podium. Stu was awsome, such a show man he loves it......STTTUUUUUUUU!!!! wicked bass solo similar to the live in Sanfransisco one wich really was a treat to hear live. I am pretty sure a couple of verses where missed out of crying wich made me laugh cos even Joe was obviously so lost in the moment and loving it!!!!!

Thanks for coming back to Bournemouth and please come again,

Finally thanks to Tim who had a spare ticket and didnt rip me off like alot of touts online tried......... PS It was Tims first Satch gig and I am pretty sure he will be attending again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks Anthony Maunder (www.myspace.com/ghostnoteofgosport)

PS My Favourate dinosoar is the satchafunkus-rex
