I give this show a nine only because I can not remember much of it oddly enough. I am a little late posting a review, I thought I did one. I just was released from prison 6 days prior to this show. I dont even think I was drinking... much, my memory is just shit. I do remember the theatre was very small. I had tickets to see G3 here with Johnson and Vai I think but I never made it to the show. I must say some times Satriani's crowd is full of prudes and punk asses with sticks up their asses. Don't get me wrong some people are very nice and rock but some of them are just plain assholes that need to stay at home and buy the dvd or should'nt be leaving their nursing home if you know what I mean you fucking rockers out there!! YAAAHH!! Anyways I remember being on the right side of the stage and not actually sitting in my seat and moving up to the very front as close as I could get to the stage as I always do. I remember making eye contact with all the band members and making faces at them and rocking the fuck out! I do believe I was late and missed both Gilbert and Petrucci. Yes I remember I missed them both which sucked. I could not find the venue because I lost my directions. Anyways this review I am giving sucks and it is pretty much just for me being used as a historical record. I do remember the fact that all kinds of shit was going on in my life at the time and I missed the first two artists but luckily Joe made it all up. He was amazing and I had a blast. I ended up not being able to find my car and had to get a hotel and almost got in deep shit when I got home, but It was a fucking awesome time and I would do it again in a second. This is what I love to do! RNFNR! -Iceballs! :) I just remembered during the end of the show getting right up against the stage and rocking out with the band, they definitly love an active crowd and I was probably the most active guy there the entire night! It was a blast from the past!

It was an awesome night of great music. The theater was perfectly sized, even people in the back could see anything. My only complaint was that the idiot next to my was flailing himself around while playing air-drums. Everyone's there to have a good time, just consider the fact that you throwing your hands and arms in my face while I'm watching and listening to some of my favorite musicians is not particularly enjoyable for me. All three played great, Dave Larue was especially awesome. He played three straight sets. I was also wondering where Satriani's JSX heads had gotten to as well. Overall, I had a great time, they definitely will see me again.

Joe was really ON tonight, his set was definitely the best! Paul Gilbert was technically excellent, but was nowhere close to his perfromance in Denver last month. I think he's suffering from some kind of burnout. John Petrucci was great, good old 3-piece rock and roll with lightning solos for spice! The jam at the end was outstanding....the guys trading solos was the highlight of the evening!
Great job guys! Let's do it again soon!

The G3 experience at the Warner topped that of any other concert that I've attended -- EVER! From actually getting to meet Joe and listen to him talk to us and answer questions -- to seeing Paul Gilbert, John Petrucci and The Satch himself -- rock those guitars live on stage. Nothing could have prepared me for how mind-blowingly awesome this show was. Never stop rockin'!

First time seing Paul and John, third time seing Joe, first G3. NOT THE LAST OF ANY. Last night's show was INCREDIBLE!!! I was ecstatic about seing the three guitarists, and just as happy about seing Mike Portnoy and Dave LaRue!! The night started off with Paul walking out with his headphones and musicians. He was the one I was anticipating the most, I was so excited to see him live. However, his set was veryyy short, only around 35 minutes, shoulda been longer. Rusty Old Boat was great, but the song before it was even better in my opinion (would know what it was if iTunes had 'Get Out of my Yard!!'). I didn't know any of his other musicians, I'm afraid I'm a rookie Paul Gilbert fan, but his bassist was phenomenal! Did anyone else notice that all three stringed instruments were playing identicle parts!? Amazing! It was also nice to see that he let his rythem guitarist shred some solos. Not but 10 or 15 minutes later, John Petrucci walked out. I was really pleased with the fact that they didn't make us wait 45 minutes between sets. John was by far my favorite. I knew what to expect, but was still blown away. His set just seemed to flow right through the whole thing. Not to mention Mike Porntoy behind him!! My favorite part was when Dave LaRue and Mike were playing what seemed like synchronized parts and John played really melodic stuff in front. I can't even think of how to describe it. Longer set, even better. Joe, AHHH!!! GOTTA LOVE JOE!!! There is none like him. His songs are my favorite, he's incredible. However, last night, something was wrong. I might have found the problem. Was Joe playing through Pauls Laney's, did he not have his JSX's with him? Whatever it was, it just didn't sound as good as he has in the past. That's the only reason I gave this show a 9/10. Joe was still awesome though! 80% of the time I could hear everything. I was soooo happy with his setlist, too. War and One Big Rush, my too favorite out of Joe's set. As the rest of the guitarists walked out, I was freaking out. I knew I was in for a treat. All the Hendrix was great, Purple Haze was the highlight of my night. Not because of the song, but because of the solos!!!! It was uh-mazing!!! I can't really describe the jams, you just have to see them...well, hear them. I cannot wait 'till the next G3, it was one of the greatest nights of my life. 4 hours of blitzkrieg guitar, nice.

Words cannot describe what I witnessed the night of 04/13/07 at the Warner Theater in DC. So, I am going to sum it up. Growing up in Belize, this is the first time I saw any of the 3 virtuosos live. I have waited for this for the past 7 yrs since I first picked up the guitar, and I am NOT disappointed. Joe Satriani, Paul Gilbert, and John Petrucci: Thank you for a night I will never ever forget and will cherish forever. Your music impacts people greatly. This is what life is about. One last thing: the crowd was dead! Get up from your damn seats and shout!!! The girl in front of me was sleeping!! I really won't blame you guys if you decide not to do another G3 in DC again. I gave the show a 10 because it was simply the best night of my life.
