i tried to make this short but ... im a rambler, sorry :) ***Robert*** started the show and it was marvelous ... he did some weird wizard movie-like music, weird in a good way. he sort of created a wizz atmosphere, got me all excited about what is about to come. it was ***Steve's*** turn then and it was AMAZING to see him up close, he was 5 metres away! the whole band did a great job. they were working together to make a spectacular show, and they distributed picks a lot, i liked that little bit too :). didnt get a pick though. they played [Die To Live], the rest i dont know, and all were excellent. the tricks him and ***Billy*** were doing ... simply great! they were a joy to watch and listen to! a little brake, followed by ***Robert***, again setting up the mood for ***Joe's*** arrival ... the AMAZING Joe came, he was totally vivid, seemed like a 25 year old having the best party of his life! he had this beautiful stripy T-shirt on, i almost fell on my back when i saw it ... im mad about stipes and i got a shirt almost like that, with longer sleeves and a lil bit different colors :). his band was a little more reserved, ***Galen*** (he's the guitarist, right?) seemed really cool, but with ***Matt*** i had a feeling he wasnt quite enjoying himself and was there simply because he had to be. Joe's choice of music disappointed me a little, though ... almost all the songs were a disappointment to me. [Satch Boogie], [FIABD] and [AWMAWY] were good, although they are too overplayed/overlistened-to. i liked the extended [AWMAWY]. i didnt even know the rest of the songs, mustve been mostly from ITLIS. Joe made some incredible music "through the ages", and the thing i like about him is that some of the songs really tell a story and are (almost) perfect. he has some that are just display of pure technical superiority in playing. and that is how most of Joe's part seemed like - a display. not really great songs that have "heads and tails", just fast playing, and at some point really boring playing (there was this song that i do not know the title of, that was boring and long). Robert played a couple of songs with Joe, then Steve joined in. ***the jam*** was really good, [Rocking in a Free World] was a terrific choice. it was a bit hard to follow cause ive been standing there for about two and a half hours so i dont remember much about the jam my legs hurt so bad :). we saw little of ***Robert***, he was way in the back (i could see him, but some couldnt), but he played awsome. now i dont know too much about what is the best playing, but i must say i think Robert's playing was the best, his fingers seemed like they were hardly moving while he was doing some really fast pieces! ***Steve***, as always, was a pleasure to watch (and listen to!), he even did some sexy dancing (as im sure he always does :)). ***Joe*** was of course awsome, too. it wouldve been nice if Robert was a little bit more in the front (even if still sitting), at least for the jam, cause we mostly got to see Joe and Steve, even though all three of them are very active participants in the jam. .........to sum up.........: loved the concert, especially ***Steve*** (the whole band!!!), who was the best in every way (performance, choice of songs etc.). loved to see Steve and ***Joe*** so up close (5 - 10 metres), it got me very emotional, sob sob (really :)!). ***Robert*** was marvelous, too. i would love it if they came back soon, individually or as G3, each is great in its own way.
