The Orlando show was incredible!!! My wife and I drove 8 hours to be there and I would do it again in a heartbeat! Yngwie was unbelievable. This was my first time seeing him live and I was stunned with his performance and enthusiasm. He played his heart out. I had seen steve before with whitesnake but this performance was incredible, I would say borderline unbelievable. Several times I asked myself, can a human really do that with a guitar? My wife is now a fan as well. Joe strolled out and tore it up as always. I really liked that he played( Midnight) I had hoped he would play something like that live and it was flawless. Joe is really the greatest guitar palyer of all time. The jam at the end was really beyond my wildest dreams. Yngwie played Voodoo child so well I think Hendrix himself would have ran in fear. The whole experience left me feeling that i had witnessed something so special that it seemed at times to be truly not of this earth, And possibly not meant for human eyes. A once in a life time event that I feel honored to have been able to witness.

Yngwei was so awesome even more wild than when I saw him in '99 with Dio, with his lightning fast guitar licks and guitar gymnastics, kicking pics into the audience. My girl said his guitar playing made her tingle down there, lol..
Vai, put on an amazing set, and added a new dimension to guitar "licks'', the tongue thing was unique, I was jazzed to finally see him on a G3 tour.
Satch just totally entertained us with his virtuoso mastery of the guitar, wish I had a pen at the time to write down the set list but he played everything we fans wanted to here, cause that's Joe,you know he loves his fans cuz it shows in the way he interacts with the audience and the amzingly rockin music he creates. Can't wait to see Joe and company the next time a must see for anyone.

For me, this was the most exciting experience in my life... i went to Orlando from my contry Colombia with the only porpose of seeing this show, and the show was a lot more that what i was expecting, the way these artist give themselves to their crowds produces vibrations or emotions that you barely could feel on a show in latinamerica... the sound was crearly great, and the quality of the show and the music were unique.... in my country, or even in many places of US you could have the chance to talk with the musicians and take pics with them, and get to understand that they are such nice as they are (such a gentleman like Billie Sheehan or as fun as Jeff Campitelli)... for me this was the most amazing thing taht ever happened to me... and the only thing that makes me remember that this wasnt a dream was the pic tha Jeff took of me with joe thats on the web... Jeff if you read this dude, thank you very very very mcuh and take care!!.... i hope you guys keep doing shows like these

(After several weeks of dragging my feet to do this review..) .. Fighting the urge to constantly call the House of Blues .. "House Full of Blues" (wink, wink) .. my counterpart and I hit the road for an adventure to soon not be forgotten whatsoever. Guitar Center in Winter Park had a meet&greet dealie which rocked our worlds. We ran frantically throughout this crazy little plaza in search of a pen for Joe and Steve to use in case they had no pens and finally settled down into the line for an hour. Sure, it wasn't as intimate as the up close and personal segment with Steve Vai (preceeding the Ruth Eckerd Hall concert) ..though I finally got to meet my inspiration, my guitar hero, the mystery in my life - Mr. Satriani. >>several weeks before the concert when we (dad, stepmom and I) went to a Chinese buffet. We cracked open our fortune cookies. We exchanged our fortunes.. When it came to mine, I blushed slightly, staring at mine.. "You will soon meet the person you admire." My stepmom recoiled, wondering, "How can you admire someone?" My dad replies, "You can admire the talents that person has.. their abilities.." looking over to me and passing a subtle wink. ...I don't know if whether or not Joe reads the reviews or not, but I'd like to extend a very gracious thank you. As for the show-- the show was spellbinding. I give it a 9 because I'm mildly claustrophobic when it comes to being crammed into a group of people. We made our way upto the stage, somehow.. enough for me to see Malmsteen fling a pick into the crowd, not noticing where it went, but then to see a fracture of something on the ground - either escaped light or a pick. The second I realized it was a pick, bent down to grab it, some dude barrels over and knocks me down and scrapes it up. Kinda disappointing, but.. well.. what can I do. Malmsteen - we saw about half of his set.. and that was still rather amazing. Yeah, he has his pros and cons. Yngwie Who? Yngwie.. fu..you know how it goes. We all, this encompasses all concert-goers, go for entertainment, for the music, for whatever.. and the man doles out the entertainment. It puts him in a new light seeing him closer up. I thought his set was better up close than from the distance in which we sat at the Ruth Eckerd concert. New perspectives, I guess. ...Steve Vai? Well! I think the rambunctious fellow standing somewhat next to me had the right idea. "You're ****ing awesome! YEAHHH! STEEEEVEE! GOD, YOU'RE ****ING AWESOME!" I listened to this throughout most of the end of "Whispering A Prayer." Steve is an amazing man to watch. His emotion screams through.. and being able to see, up close, how he expressed every note.. is something that one will never forget. He's a charming man with an intriguing attitude. ...Well, Mr. Satriani never fails to break through and prove all else wrong. Okay, he doesn't move around stage much, he doesn't flaunt much in the way Yngwie does, but I think that is what makes him all that much more Joe. And yes - that guitar he presented before us all was beautiful. I wish I had an airbrush and a bit more of a reputation as an artist throughout this country so that I could paint a guitar for Joe. hehe.. Seeing him perform up close was worth being stuck in the middle of a bunch of strangers. Being able to see the meticulous fingerworkings of 'Midnight' truly proves a whole new pattern of thought when one goes back home and randomly puts a CD into the player.. and Midnight sneaks up. "Wow" is an understatement. My respect is undying for the man.. I truly look forward to spending the money on my credit card for my counterpart and I to go to any show of his! No regrets that I'm almost to my credit limit... Jammin' was great. I honestly don't remember much of the jam other than the beginning of Voodoo Chile, clips of Little Wing, and that catchy riff of Keep On Rockin' in a Free World. The 3 have done justice to that song. I went home and downloaded the original by Neil Young.. it's not bad, but yeah. The G3 justify it.

This show was incredible. As a fairly new guitarist (about 2 years) this show was an incredible inspiration. It was the best concert ive been to and will always stand out in my memory as one of the best. The venue was great, and the performance was breathtaking. Yngwie was incredible, (man he can shred) but seemd a bit childish. He did the "rock kick" probably around 50 times this show, and threw his guitar around his neck probably 15 times. Also, he ripped the strings off his guitar. It seemed he was there to look cool, rather than to play for the love of playing. Vai was incredible! He came out w/ his triple neck and just played beautifully through his entire set. Satriani...what can i say, it was overwhelmingly breathtaking. After playing "satch boogie" and "crystal planet" i was amazed at how incredible he sounds live. His guitar for "the mistical potato head groove thing" was one of the sweetest looking guitars my eyes have ever seen. Overall i give this show a 15 out of 10. keep on rockin in the free world was a great addition to the show.
Thanks for a great show!
A VERY pleased fan,
Adam

OK...let's start from the beginning... I was expecting to be let down by Yngwie....nothing could be farther from the truth...he came out on stage and blew me away (Trilogy Suite was great btw) This is the first time I've seen Dr. Steve Vai....will not be the last. I was in complete awe when I saw him play his triple neck...Whispering a Prayer was out of this world. Joe.... You cannot go see Joe and not be blown away...the custom painted JS he brought on stage was gorgeous (both visually and tonally) This venue is still my preferred place to see Joe...always will be.

Well, damn. I went to see the Ruth Eckerd show, where I almost screamed "It's too loud!" and I thought it wouldn't get much better. It did. House of Blues is so much more intimate. I was maybe eight feet from the stage for most of the show, it's much better when enjoyed up-close. To anybody who;s got any smack to talk about Yngwie: Why, then, are you not on the tour?
Ah. I see.
So, the best thing about the tour: The knowledge that Joe and Steve will be releasing albums in the near future, and possibly going on promo tours. (Come back to Clearwater ANYTIME)
The worst thing; thinking I might have to rough up some fat slob for nearly trampling my girlfriend over a damn pick. Have a little respect, buddy. I'm having a good time, I don't want to fight anybody. geez.
Otherwise, a killer show, a killer venue, and three awesome guitarists and showmen.

This show was amazing. Yngwie blew me away and Steve was the best as always. This is the 3rd time ive seen Joe and has never failed to put me in a state of awe. Highlights: Yngwie playing over Beethoven, Steve playing whispering a prayer and his triple neck guitar composition, And Joe playing Always with Me Always with You.

The show was F**king great to say the least. My ears are still ringing. You guys kick some serious ass and I want to thank you for coming back to Orlando again. Thanks for keeping shred music alive and well. It's nice to know that there are still some musicians out there in the world with some real talent. I would pay a $100 a ticket to see you guys. You would deserve every penny of it !! Thanks again for a hell of a night. I hope to see you again soon. KEEP ON ROCKIN(SHREDDING) IN THE FREE WORLD!!!!!

I am reading all these reviews, and each one gets me more psyched than the last! The only thing is, I saw what Steve did with his tongue on the video clip and I am afraid for him. Being the cool trick that it is, can you imagine the headlines? Guitar Virtuoso "Dr. Steve Vai" was rushed to the emergency room via (no pun intended) ambulance for immediate tongue re-attachment surgery. After positioning his tongue on the strings of his guitar during a solo, a string broke loose and his lacerated tongue flew into the audience. As paganistic lesbians in the first row smeared his blood soaked tongue all over their naked breasts, the 6-stringed wizard selflessly completed the remainder of the solo on 5 strings with an incredibly remarkable passion and a bloody soaked chin. During a standing ovation, the paramedics waited as the lifeless tongue was thrown back onto the stage rapped up in panties. With paramedics waiting patiently nearby, the three finished up the evening with an old favorite, "Keep on Yockin' in ra Fee Whoa". Please be careful, Steve. Looking forward to seeing all three of you in DC!
