This was my first time seeing Joe in concert, amd I thought the show was awesome. I flew down from Seattle just to see the show as I missed him last November here in Seattle (because I was in Las Vegas), and then I missed him in Las Vegas a week later (because I was on Seattle). I picked up my brother in Livermore and we drove up to the show that afternoon (about 2-1/2 hour drive) and we stayed the night at the resort. A very nice way to see ashow (not having to drive home afterwards that is). I was not very impressed with the opening act, but it was short. I got lots of great pictures including many right from the edge of the stage (left, Joe's side of the stage). I brought my JS-1000 to get signed but did not know the ropes well enought to get Joe to sign it, next time I'll be better prepared. I had an awesome time, thought the acoustics were good, great view from my 6th row table and he played all my favorites except Love Thing.

We drove approx. 550 miles to see this show. It was enjoyable. I think the whole sit down thing affected the bands energy/inspiration. Joe played his ass off! The drum/bass solo was really cool. I was less than pleased with the sound. Joe was pretty muffled. Joe introduced the opening dude as his "very good friend" and that he was going to "blow us away". I respect the guys guts for getting up there and giving it all he's got but I don't care for his act. Everyone I've talked to said they thought the guy was terrible. There, enough of the negatives. I love seeing Joe live and I did enjoy this show. The next time you come to Portland, PLEASE, PLEASE, play the Crystal Ballroom.
