Joe was great as usual as sound was muffled until song-4 (Crush of Love). Crush of Love was great as sound in the mezzanine good. I reall glad he did Time Machine as never heard it live before. The New Last Jam awesome as was Summer Song and closer-Friends.Joe's playing is unreal it seemed he used many different guitars as the double-guitar a nice sound. We had good seats as looked almost right above him. I was surprised as nothing from "Crystal Planet" and not many ballads. He played mostly from first three albums and five songs from "Surfing with Alien". A master guitarist who is my favorite performer by far.The shows I see after Joe always seem crummy as when you see the best the next ones do not compare in any way to him. The opener was a waste of -20- minutes as he seemed like someone you would see at a local bar in your neighborhood for free. He seemed like he was learning how to play a guitar on stage as not very entertaining. LONG MAY JOE TOUR AS DEC.6 WAS A NIGHT OF FLYING IN A BLUE DREAM. DEMENT.

Awesome show. period.
The opening act caught my attention with that wicked guitar but i couldnt get into his songs. Applause for him for doing something different.
Joe's set could not have been better (except for teasing me playing the intro to Mountain Song before cool #9 - woulda loved to hear that). Great intensity throughout the whole show by the whole band. Bisonette really impressed me with his phrase sampler that let him repeat himself himself, and his work on the fretless. Jeff has to be the most powerful drummer I have seen. Joe Wowed me as always, didnt miss a note all night. Great variety of old and new stuff.

Once again, Joe came and Joe conquered! It doesn't matter who's in the band! First things first, I was ecstatic Joe decided to play the Vic for the first time ever, rather than the ratty Riviera that he usually plays. Great acoustics, small venue. I was unsure, even after scouring the archives whether there'd be an opening act or two sets by Joe. Well, as it turns out, there is an opener a solo guitarist by then name of Andy Evven, or something similar to that. He didn't do much for me in his 20 min set, tho' his "Are You Experienced?" was quite enjoyable. Check that out at least! On to Joe who smoked as usual. The set was similiar to the one posted about a month ago. (Try finding that one! Took me 1/2 hour!) Here it is. It's fairly accurate, tho' there might be a mistake after "Mindstorm." Seems like they did an extended jam after that. I was disappointed, at first, that Stu was replaced by Matt, but Matt did an excellent solo, so I'll call it even! This was about the 7th or 8th time I've seen Joe (only missed him once) and he gets better every time! Flying in a Blue Dream Crushing Day Devil's Slide Cool #9 Satch Boogie The Crush of Love Mind Storm Mystical Potato Head Groove Thing New Last Jam Summer Song Midnight Starry Night Time Machine Why Bass/Drums Always with Me Always with You Raspberry Jam Delta-V Surfing with the Alien Friends
