This was my first time seeing Satch live and he was by far the best guitarist I have seen in concert yet. He was soulful, animated, flawless, quick as hell, and had an aweome sound. I can't wait to see him again! Joe, whats your secret to becoming such a master of the instrument? This was my second time seeing Dream Theater live and they're always incredible as well. They have so many intricate parts and still manage to remain so tight! I can't wait until you guys come to town again! Thanks

A lot of people have complained about the weather on this one, but man... A light rain, a light breeze blowing across the amphitheater, and the waves crashing agaisnt the beach behind the stage... i think this was the perfect atmosphere for some of the earlier material Joe broke out at this one, something about the hint of chaos lying behind everything... Anyway, second time seeing Joe, and no suprises, he smoked. The extended version of "Midnight," in particular, floored me- the additions worked REALLY well in the tune. I missed King's X, got there too late, but as for Dream Theater, i've never seen a tighter live band. These guys groove like a goddamn machine... unreal. and Petrucci was as jaw-dropping as ever, playing the entire evening without a single flub (barring two notes at the beginning of the Erotomania solo that weren't fretted perfectly cleanly, but c'mon...) But the kicker? Satriani jamming with Dream Theater to close. Now if only we could get DT to back up Satch for all his gigs- i mean, Satch's band are without question an incredible group of musicians, and deserve every last bit of praise they get (though i must say i prefer satch live without rhythm guitar- i thought in particular "Summer Song" lost something with the added gutiar), but there was something magical about the music coming off the stage when they all just went for it... i had a grin stuck on my face the whole time. Forget the weather, this was an amazing show.

Bad weather not the best sound but joe was incredible. This was my first time seeing JOE in concert. I truly believe he is the best guitarist that ever was. I hope to see him at town hall.

I love the performance by a Joe and Dream Theater, it was my first attendace to one of their concerts but I expected more, the day was horrible and the sound was as pleasing at all, they performed great I wont doubt that but I definitely didn't like the place it was in. l Heard that in other places they played much more and the environment was better No doubt I still love their music. And Im also going to Joes next concert at Town Hall this time Im up closer and I hope to meet joe personall :) Wish me luck guys and gals. I know this will be one of my best experiences. Too excited to type how I feel.

an amazing show. it was the first time to see joe. i was totally blown away. i was about 17 rows back, so it was tough to see everything he did. thank god for the great work by the theater. the two huge screnes left me in awe of joe's talent. i've been a fan dating back to the surfing disc. i can't wait to see him again. hope he shows up in the albany ny area soon.

Joe is it possible to grow forward in skill and backward in age, of course it is as you have proved it defying all laws in the time space continuim. thanks again for being there, if it wasn't for you there may not be any music left in the world. I praise God for Joe Satriani

Joe and band were amazing. I think "midnight" was the highlight for me. I thought all was perfect except I felt a bit of a timing problem in "Always with me...". It might have just been my seats. Sorry to disagree with the reviewer that didn't like Kings X, yeah there sound sucked but they are a great band. If you wanna be amazed check out one of their headline gigs. They are phenomenal.

Joe, GREAT SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was my second favorite of yours. My favorite was in April of 2001 at Hammerstein Ballroom,. But both my father and I had a blast at the show. I wish I could have gotten behind stage to see you. I have one of your first ep's from 84 that you were selling at of your car. Anyways, I can't wait to see you play again, congrats to a kick ass tour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Dave

King's X gotta go, There mix was absolutley awful, and they, well, are not a very good band, IMO!! Joe's set was as good as you can get in 90 minutes. Seen him every stop in the TRI State in the last 6 years. Joseph, come back and do the EVENING WITH after you are over seas. PLEASE!! Dream Theater ?? I love this band, but, there show is very difficult to get into. When John and Mike were together for G playing the original Instrumental stuff, I was licking my chop's for the Dream theater show, but, it was a let down, I don't know if it was the idiots in the crowd, JUST REALLY ANNOYING LITTLE GREAT NECK DWEABS sitting in front of us?? or if it was the rainy, foggy feal, or the down right awful sound. but, it was what it was. See Ya !

Good show and well worth the trip. I wish Joe didn't play things from the DVD which I've watched lots of times . . . I was hoping for something not so common. The new bass player played better than Stu on Raspberry Jam IMO and on Cool #9 he had a good feel. Something happened in the middle of MindStorm that was out of sync . . . I'm guessing the rhythm guitar player played when he shouldn't have and Joe kind of rescued it - dunno. Thanks again, hopefully you will come to Manhattan next time.

Kick ass show!!! The only gripe I have is he only played 3 songs from the new album. In my opinion, if you are going to tour after a particular album release, AT LEAST, play half the new stuff. That's what people came to hear.

Best concert I've ever been to!!! Joe was truly remakable. It was my first Satch concert, but definitely won't be my last!! From "Flying In A Blue Dream", through "Friends", every song was unbelievable!! The sound was perfect, at first a little bassy, but i either got used to it or they fixed it. Joe was very patriotic wearing a shirt covered in with American Flags, a great way to show off to the NY crowd!! I think my favirite song was "Cool #9". I love his sweet techniques used throughout the song! His new seven string songs were great as well. I also enjoyed his quite "Midnight" and Starry Night" both which he played sitting down. Can't wait to see Joe again, although since i'm from upstate NY, i'll be going to a diferent venue to see him. Had lots of trouble getting to Jones beach, but totally worth it! Thanx Joe!

As always, I enjoyed every second of the experience, even though I missed the drumstick Portnoy threw my way. I guess its true what they say, blonde girls cant catch. Being right in front of the band, watching their fingers move faster than I can see, watching arms with drumsticks moving so fast they leave trails, and watching every facial expression of the bandmembers, there's nothing better and no other way to catch Joe and the boys. Every song picked was awsome and everyone sounded crystal clear as always. Im glad they have fun. I love you guys.....Keep giving it up to us. westburychick
