Ok.. that was the best day of my life..

I'v been a fan for about 15 years now, listening and playing Joe's songs every single day [didnt miss even 1 day without joe!], i spent about 5000$ to make this day happen, got a meet&greet pakcage, packed a bag, flew all the way from israel (about 20 hours of flying) and booked an hotel next to warfield

It was pretty big deal for me

The Q&A was pretty cool, I was so excited i couldnt speak :(

Joe is a funny guy. when he asked about the next G3 suggestions, i said tommy emmanuel [my fav along with vai, my mind is limited musically to joe, vai, tommy emmanuel and metallica, thats it lol] he is an accustic guitar player, but i though ill mention him. then he said "we ware that close to get him on on the next G3, but it didnt worked out".... wow, i didnt know they thought about it too.. but its good to know now, maybe joe and steve will make it happen, and then for me it will be the ultimate G3 lol

Anyway, i got my guitar signed and got a pic with him [yay!],

Show was short though and the songs ware pretty much like the cds for example there was no extended ending for "always" or special intro for "summer song"

but i loved every sec of what he gave there, sounds was great and the hall was pretty cool place to be in.

The only mistake i did, was going to the last show of the tour!, cause i want more and i, and the rest of us gonna have to wait! :(

But hey, a dream came true for me, i met joe!..

Cheers Yaron Levi, Israel

Got to meet Joe at the pre-concert meet and greet and go up on stage for the last 3 songs of the set. What a treat! The concert was fantastic just like the last 8 times I have seen him. Sad to hear that he will never play The Forgotten II on stage. What a loss for all of us. Thanks to Lindsey for all her hospitality with the meet and greet crowd and getting my brother and I a viewing spot stage right for the end of the show! Rock On Joe!

Everyone connected with Joe's band is phenomenal; definitely all masters at whatever their task is. This was the fourth time I have seen Joe live, and all I can say is the moment he comes on stage, I am in heaven. Thank you to everyone. It was truly a night to remember and I can barely wait another two years to see you all again.

This show was One Big Rush as we were able to plant ourselves just a few feet from where Joe performs. This is one of the most crisp and clear audio venues in No.CA. Our ears were still humming a full day later even after wearing 32 dB earplugs. By being so close, we realized Joe is truly one with his instrument. Not just in spirit, but visually as well.

Using a camera (fixed lens, Mr. grabby security guy) and grooving to the tunes posed a major conflict. I just hope all those professional photographers in the pit will share their prized pix online for us. My shots from my new camera were not as clear as I had hoped for, even when Joe was performing dead center in front of me. Selections from PSAMOR were right on! Especially loved Revelation and Andalusia – wish the latter was longer. Maybe Asik Vaysel next time? Time Machine was just so refreshing to hear as the new/vintage song from Joe's vast collection. Please include more surprises like these on future tours like Bells of Lal, Clouds Race Across the Sky, and other resurrected songs like an Anthology Tour.

Both bands were having a great time, and I got a chuckle catching glimpses of Stu and Galen's expressions. It's rare to come across living legends and experience a fantastic night enjoying your gifts of music and forgetting about everything else. Prior reviews displayed Joe’s classy and professional character. If Joe had a tough night where things didn’t go well, he never disappointed his fans and continued to play his heart out. But tonight was a night where everything was perfect and what a way to end this tour!

THANK YOU to everyone who made this a memorable night:

1) The big-hearted event staff guy who let the kids get Corky Laing’s stick & Rev. Jones' pick in the pit and tried to help disengage the flash on a disposable camera so a fan could take photos during the concert;

2) 2 guys from Marin County that shared other JS & Vai concert stories with;

3) the other staff that discouraged attention from some of the restless natives while we waited in line for 2 ˝ hours; and

4) notably Joe, Jeff, Galen, Stu and Mountain for putting on a top-notch tour!

Holy Smokes , Batman ! Have seen Joe about 6 or 7 times .Was very excited for this one to get a BIG BONUS , Mountain .Leslie West , Corky Lang , Rev Jones (from MSG) Leslie has to have a star bassist , and can this guy cut it .Corky Lang is a master of showboating . His relentless stick launching's had us grinning the whole time. And a nice , brief ,solo which is a great tradition .The Warfield is one of my favourite venues . We had center seats in the balcony which I thought were going to be pretty high up but actually turned out to be very nice . Mountain were able to squeeze a lot into 45 minutes . Nantucket ,Theme from an Imaginary Western , Mississippi Queen, a Damn Good rendition of Crossroads ,and Leslie even threw in Bob Dylan's "Blowin in the Wind" done solo.No "Never in my Life" ? But you don't get a truly legendary opener at this kind of show often . Sound was loud , powerful and clear .You could hear the drums the whole time .His Voice was all there and it was just a real joy to hear a master of heavy guitar play what looked to be effortlessly . Satch and the band ,including the big man , Stu Hamm , ( I did not know Stu was in until the day of show ,thanks to this site ) did not compromise on anything .The songs were complete and very ambitious . You could never say the band didn't rock hard enough .The stuff was tough as nails for at least the first 6 songs .Jeff Campitelli was absolutely stunning .How he can be so meticulously on the beat for two full hours still astounds me to this moment . There was a great batch of songs ,with at least ,4 from "Surfing" , still a defining piece of work from the professor. Ice 9 ,Satch Boogie ,Surfing ( which I thought the intro to was a little muddy) , a beautiful, gorgeous , rip your heart right out of your chest , version of "Always With You Always With Me " . Did not get "Mystical Potato Head Groove Thing " , but I guess I'll live .This being the last show of the tour meant that the hardy helping of new material had a sharpness that did the band proud . Galen Henson fit right in , and rounded out the sound perfectly . Let's beat this in , the sound could not have been better . It more than met any of my expectations . The drums were in the mix the whole time . They had two spotlights on Joe throughout the show that made for a clear view of his playing even from the balcony without a video screen . It was a full show and well worth the money . A true R&R Circus ! Thanks Joe .

This night is worth every penny spent, seconds waiting since August 3rd, sweats dropped during the whole show, almost getting my head knocked twice with Corky's sticks (got one of em..lol), and many other craps that usually would've pissed me off.

Joe's performance, the band, the sound, the whole vibe was out of this space, regardless that I somewhat felt the performance was a bit rushed (compared to Live 2006 in Anaheim or G3 2007).

The idea of the balloons at the end were rather annoying though for me. People end up focusing on blowing them up or tossing them to the stage rather than on the cool jam between Joe and Leslie. But whatever...at the end of the day, it was a great night, a great concert.

Thanks Joe for the awesome night and patiently answering our questions during the meet n greet. Thanks for signing my double satchurators, best of luck with "Chickenfoot" (are you guys still calling it that?), and see you next week at YouTube Live!
