Amazing show! My three favorite guitarists all performing together made for one unbelievable experience. I have all Joe's, Steve's and John's cds as well as their dvds and the past G3 dvds and I was really exicted about seeing them all play live together. After spending most of the money I had on platinum tickets to meet Joe and get fantastic 3rd row seats the night seemed like a dream come true. John Petrucci kicked things off with the hard hitting songs from his new album and got the crowd really going. Then Steve walked out and showed us why he is undoubtedly one of the best in the world. With a set list that included Tender Surrender, Giant Balls of Gold and Building the Church Steve finished off his amazing performance with the masterpiece, For The Love of God. Then the man I really came to see walked out in true satch style and began with Flying in a Blue Dream. I was going crazy when he burst out with The Extremist which was followed by Redshift riders, Cool #9, Super Colossal, Just like lightnin’, Satch Boogie, Crowd chant, Summer song and Always with me, always with you. In the extended outro of his last song, Joe was accompanied by Steve and John which led into the G3 jam. Voodoo Child, My Guitar Wants To Kill Your Mama and Rockin in the Free World were mind-blowing. After the show the greatest part was yet to come. The small group of us that had purchased Paltinum tix would meet the master himself - Joe Satriani. I shook the masters hand and got him to sign my strap and draw one of his awesome sketches on it too! It was an amazing night - the best G3 so far. Joe was great, I had the time of my life and a big thanks to everyone who made it happen! I just hope that Joe will come to Australia again on his next tour. \m/ OnO \m/ If anyone has photos of the night I would be forever grateful if you could pass them on to me at Johnno.sa@gmail.com

Unbelievable show! I have all of Joes cds & the G3 dvds & was really looking forward to seeing Joe & the boys play live! John opened the show & really warmed up the crowd! Then the showman Steve came out! Lot of flair makes it look so easy! Then the man I really came to see steps out of the darkness & opens up with Flying in a blue dream! followed by The Extremist, Cool #9, this is where I forget the order & possibly miss something but it goes something like this! Redshift Riders, Like lightning, Satch Boogie, Super Colossal, Crowd Chant, Summer Song & then finishes off with me & my wife's wedding song Always with me Always with you! Unfreaken believable when John & Steve stepped in & play Joe's extended outro! The G3 jam at the end was awesome with Voodoo child, my guitar wants to kill your mama & Rockin in the free world! For me the best was yet to come as I purchased platinum tix I got to meet Joe & get him to sign my Chromeboy replica! F---king great! Had a ball & met a lot of nice people who shared my passion for the greatest guitarist & allround nice guy Joe Satriani

Having seen Joe once, and Steve twice, I was really stoked to see John Petrucci play live - having seem him on dvd with G3, and Dream Theater, it was awesome to see him play. He is an amazing guitarist, and combined with the two other musical geniuses....it was awesome. And all the other guys on bass, drums etc were also amazing, especially Billy Sheehan and Mike Pourtnoy who were so cool. The G3 jam was awesome - and to start it during the extended ending to Joe's Always with me, Always with you was perfect. It was a definitely worth the wait for G3 in australia. Can't wait for the next tour to come here.
