I second what Scotty M wrote! The crowd at this Santa Rosa gig was weak. Perhaps it may have been the work/school night thing, but the crowd was lethargic. Joe was whaling, sounding really great, the light show was excellent and the building itself was perfect, small and cozy. Nevertheless, the fans were not willing to give Joe and Co. their energy and emotion. I was kind of embarrassed myself. I hope that Joe decides to play more gigs in the Bay Area despite the reception he received in Santa Rosa. I hope to catch him again!

This was the 4th time seeing joe and company and i have to say you guys were awsome.Three times at LBC, once at concord for G3 concert. My only disapointment was that one of the ushers put me in the wrong seat for the first hour and a half come to find out that i was right front and center. I was also hoping to hear WAR but i didn't. Everytime they come to town they are just full of suprises one right after the other. you still find the time to sign tickets and other things even after the shows over even if we don't have a backstage pass. Once again thanks for coming me and all the people of santa rosa thank you. P.S. To Joe and Stu thanks for signing my Guitar as a graduation present. It really ment alot as far as accomplishment in that anyone that is mentaly chalanged can do anything

thanks JOE, STU, AND JEFF

To Joe & Co. : My apologies for the lack of response from the crowd last night, at least untill the encores. This had nothing to do with your music or set, it rocked! I looked around a number of times after songs and people would politely clap, then nothing.. it kinda pissed me off. You guys are up there busting your butts, and the crowd is half dead. The sound was excellent, lighting awsome, and the song mix was perfect. Gotta admit, I was a bit skeptical at first with "Engines", but the covers last night gave me a new appreciation of it's freshness. Borg Sex,.. yea! and Stu,.. the bass-players man! Thanx for comming up to the to share your gift with us all. Scotty M, Ukiah

This was the 4th time I've seen Joe at LBC and 5th time overall. This was definitely the best especially since there was no opening act this time, almost 3 hours of Joe and his steady supporting cast. The only thing bad about LBC is that the old timer ushers always want you to sit down all the time. But that changed with the 1st ecore when Joe broke into "Friends" and up to the front of the stage we went. The crowd actually woke up when the newcomers were introduced the to the amazing STUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!! and his solo. He even took off the shades and really had fun with crowd, and Joe as the humble guitar master he is allowed people to see the talent Stu has.Stu has at least 2 other solo records out. "Kings of Sleep" (1989), and "The Urge" (1991) they have different guests (Eric Johnson, Jonathan Mover, Tommy Lee) but Joe's name is not found anywhere. On "The Urge" Stu has a Live bass solo. Overall the albums are not like Joe's, but they do showcase Stu's talent as he wrote almost all the material. Anyway Joe never ceases to amaze me as his skills continue to escalate even singing the classic "Big Bad Moon" as he couldn't leave this one out. YetI was amazed that as I looked around from my 4th row seatI could only see 3 other people who knew the words. Maybe they were upset that Joe did'nt wear his hat like he used to do when he played this song live. Well newcomers are always welcome. For me it was 13 years ago when I heard "Surfin" on KRQR that instantly I was hooked. Also the new songs actually rocked and sounded better live than on the album as Jeff's playing really beefed up the songs. Truly a one of a kind artist Joe is, do not miss it.

Great show! I also saw Joe at the Warfield in San Fran. I liked the Warfield building better, the sound was so much better. Stu's solo at Luther Burbank was much better I thought. Over all going to both shows was a real treat I feel so blessed to have been able to go. I hope you play in San Fran again Joe or in Berkeley maybe. I hope I win the free lesson! The lesson on the guitar web is so great, your students were so lucky!

Man, this show was much better than the last time they were at the LBC. Congratulations on a great light show too. Please come back to the LBC often. Joe, your talents are a blessing from God. Thanks for a great time, my wife and I just love watching you and the band play.

great show, different crowd than when I saw him at the Warfield. The band has had the last month to really jell. Good mix, enjoyed the venue. It's nice to hear Joe continue to improv and stretch, especially on Clouds Race Across the Sky.
