Opening with 'Time' really threw me off, I was expecting either 'Devil's Slide' or 'Borg Sex,' y'know. Ya always open with the big "rocker" on the newest album, but when Joe strutted out with 'Time,' I was floored. I never realized how cool a song 'Time' was until then. I was also surprised that I didn't hear 'Cryin' or 'Flavor Crystal 7'. The worst part of the show was the ubiquitous "Balding, Middla-aged, Potbelly Jimboy" who like all his brethren elsewhere in the audience kept getting up to whiz every 10 minutes,(grab another beer while you're up, Jimboy!) The Best part of the show was almost certainly Stu's Bass Solo, (I want you-oo-Oo-oo-Oo, I want you so Bad!) Joe closed with Surfing, and I'm pretty sure I heard him miss 3.. mebbe 5 notes during the solo somewhere in there, which is great when you figure Joe prolly played 260,000 notes (flawlessly) that night. I think I had an epiphany watching the whole show. I zoned out at some point and forgot who I was, I just knew I was watching the guy who taught me scales... it was really very powerful. My mom was in attendance, and she wasn't all that familiar with Joe's material. She says to me, "I just hope he doesn't play too many of those loud, high-pitched, squealy notes." I was like, "Mom, you're missing the whole point of watching a virtuoso guitar diety, We here just for those high squealy notes."

The show was great. Joe rocked the house. My only complaint was that the sound for steve was of a poor quality. It made it hard to really enjoy the Vai part of the show, however steve rocked just as much (the sound was'nt his fault). I can't wait till the next show comes back to Florida.

how great is it to be in a historic theater, in the second row & see 2 hours & 45 minutes of joe & co. he started on time, had one 15 minute intermission & played a slew of encores.

100% improvement over his last distorted & overtly loud trip to the tampa bay area.

What can I say? This was the best Satriani show yet!(My 5th)Joe and company were incredible! 2 and 1/2 hours plus of the master. The seats were excellent,(2nd row center stage). The light show was breathtaking! And the sound was tight!Watching Joe's fingers slide effortlessly up and down the frets was amazing!Stu and Jeff hammered all night, and Eric filled in the gaps left void on previous tours. I think they had as much fun performing as we did watching in awe.All in all this show may never be topped! Thanks again Joe for the after-show passes, the pictures you took with us,the autographed Ibanez guitar and getting the opportunity to meet the "master". You are truly a great guy! See you next time!

This was an awesome concert. Joe has style! He couldn't of chosen a better place in Tampa to jam. The light show was fantastic. Looking forward to the next jam!

This concert was killer!!!!

I have had the opportunity to see Joe play at two previous concerts, and each time his live performances get better. His playing was meticulous at this show. Not only did he play superbly from a technical standpoint, but he played with a lot of feeling.

Stu Hamm was incredible as well.

Adding to the performance was the fact that the acoustics were excellent.

All I know is that the next time Joe's in town ..... I'm there!!!

My name is Scott Coster - A Big fan from the start. I saw the Flying in a blue dream tour (balto. md) and never thought anything could top it. I'm 35 and have been ax grinding for some time. I flew to Tampa to see the show at the historic Tampa Theatre and it was the coolest place I;ve ever been to see a show. Anyway, this show was better than the one before and I will be back next year...and the year after.... I saw G3 and was disapointed, but this show was amazing. Only downfall is my wife had cocktails at dinner, than switched to wine...she yacked on me at intermission and I was a little distracted after that...anyway, she knows what the show means to me and hung like a champ...

Joe- see you next year. Oy, you owe me a t-shirt. The loser salesman wouldn't take credit cards...hello...this is the year 2000.

We all expect a great show from Satchman, and were not disappointed. A very generous set list with awesome lighting and a great Showco sound system. The Tampa Theatre was built in the 1920's, and is a beautiful building to see a show in. From my seat, the sound was very good. You can tell Joe really cares about his fans (he came out for 3 encores), and I appreciate that a lot. I enjoyed hearing Joe throw in a few "wrinkles" to the old favorites, like when he plays the lick from an old Sly & Family Stone song in "The Crush Of Love". Eric C. traded some nice licks with Joe on "Borg Sex". Whenever Satch comes back for another show, I'll be there.

Great !!!Nowards !!! Goood play !!! Only one problem:little to much base-sound in the sound and the mixer-man wasn't there all the time to bring the guitar up or down when was needed !!! But the players - GREAT !!!

Eh-dablekd-huminahdu. Sorry. Still speechless. The concert was absolutely phenomenal. I always get goosebumps listening to his albums, wondering how on earth he can play such masterpieces. But seeing him do the same thing live...I just don't know how to explain it. I just sat there with my mouth open watching his fingers literally fly across the guitar. I don't care what anyone says, you never fully appreciate what a gift Joe has until you see him live. And getting to meet him on top of all that was truly an experience I'll never forget. Joe, thanks for ALL the autographs, taking the time to chat with your fans. Next tour that comes around, I'll be there. You're great!!

2 words.. Awwsome Baby!.. Joe and company were on fire! So much so, that the fire alarms in the theatre were going off all night.. Provided an extra strobe light effect in the theatre. I was not dissappointed at all.. almost 3 hours of Pure Satchboogie. it was GREAT!. Catch you on the next tour. I am still buzzed.. C_I9 [8)

Simply the best. How else can you describe Joe and the band. A powerful 2 hour and 45 minute show in the wonderful Tampa Theatre. It is so refreshing to see someone who is respected for his musical merits and not some lame gimmick. This is my 4th time to see Joe and each concert tops the previous. The place was packed and screaming for more and Joe delivered. Stu delivered as well with a stellar solo. Cant wait till next Tour. Keep it up Joe!!!!
