wanted to hear more of the new album. the songs he played were almost identical to the ones he did at the rosemont theatre during the summer. joe always kicks ass. the best show was at the house of blues, i think it was in 98 or 99. the place has a nice stage and you can always get close. we were getting a couple of people to body surf in the crowd. joe rocks!!

All i have to say is ........AMAZING!!!! This is my second time watching joe, but this was my first entire joe solo show and I'm pretty happy about taht day. I remember the night's epic moment came along with my favorite satch song" crushing day" which i never think he would play. Also was recognizable to hear why and time machine, etc. I know there always have to be some stuff out or left but come on i would very appreciate if there would be more ballads like classics: rubina, love thing, cryin', but anyway the show rocks us!!!! I think that was funny is that many people looked at us as they were afraid or like if we were in the wrong place just because we are mexicans and we were speaking spanish, but that doesn't mean anythig, what matters is that we all love joe's music, don't you think????

I'm sure it was a 10, it always is! I can kick myself for missing it! I just bought my first house, been broke and late on bills. I didn't realize it was on a Fri., and Sat., night on 12-6, 12-7 od 2002! Damn, I promise I won't miss the next shows coming around Indiana, Ohio, or Illinois next time! I've been seing Joe's shows for the last three years ! I'm sorry Satch, I still believe your one of the best! New album sounds great! Keep up on the wild stuff, but don't lose the lose jam stuff either! Keep going at it! See you next time!

This is the 2nd time I have seen Joe, and by far the best (indeed one of the best shows I've ever seen). The venue was very small, so there wasn't a bad view of the stage in the house. They played surprisingly few songs from the new album (3 or 4 I think), reserving most of the time for the 'classics' (what's a satriani concert without Summer Song and Satch Boogie?). What sealed the deal though was Time Machine -- what a great song. To the best of my memory, the set list in no particular order was: Flying in a blue dream, Mystical Potato, Oriental Theme, Mind Storm, TIme Machine, Friends, Summer Song, Satch Boogie, Surfing, Midnight, Devil's Slide, Crush of Love, and others...

Very inspirational -- thanks Joe and Company!

This was my 3rd satch show and they keep getting better. Maybe it was because me and my brothers finally got front row, or maybe it was because Joe played the most amazing concert you could imagine. I agree with all those other fans out there who are at a loss of words when they try to describe the show. It was definately a 'Not of this Earth' exprience. If you haven't been to the Strange Beautiful Tour yet- there's only one way to find out how incredible the show is. One thing I have to say, or rather wish for- JOE YOU HAVE GOT TO PUT THAT 'CRUSH OF LOVE' YOU PLAYED ON A CD. That was the most intensely beautiful piece of music I have ever heard. The way Joe just eased into the second half of the song was stunning. He did the same sort of reworking on 'Starry Night' and 'Friends' and I hope these new versions make it to a recording at some point. Joe and the band have still got it, and I look forward to the next time they go on tour.

This was my first Satriani concert I have been too. I must say, even after playing guitar for 25years, he blew my mind. The band was very energetic. I had my reservatios due to it being a fully instrumental concert, but that was taken care of within the first 5minutes! Song selection was really great, although I would have liked to have heard a few songs that he did vocals for. But thats no biggie. The only reason I did not give his show a 10, was his opening act (cant remember the guys name) was horrible. Many people in the crowd agreed. The guy would play the guitar for the first 20 seconds of each song, then loop it, and only play once every couple minutes while he sang. I will DEFINATELY see Joe the next time he comes to Chicago!

This was an awesome show.... Definatley not something that you would want to miss! It was an unforgettable night for me. The highlight of the night for me was WHY. The whole set was rockin. This was a great venue. I got to stand 5 feet from joe, and it sounded awesome. Matthew played a nice bass solo, and Campetelli Just ROCKED. You could really feel his drums as he pumped out another incredible Drum solo. Great show!

I just wanna say that this show was all I needed to start playing again. I stopped playing several years ago for various reasons, and just recently started to to really wonder why I stopped. It was incredible. The band, the playlist, and the sweet accoustics of the 80 year old Vic Theatre were working together to make this the best show I've been to in years. I can only hope I get another chance to see Joe at this intimate venue again. Peace

As any Joe show was, is and will be, the show at the Vic in Chicago on Dec. 7, 2002 was simply electrifying. Although that statement doesn't do the actual performance true justice, how can anyone actually descibe how awesome and inspiring any Joe concert is. The whole band was just on fire that night and the whole crowd could feel the chemistry and magic that was taking place right in front of their very eyes. Joe, Jeff, Matt and Galen...you guys are the best!!!!!!!!!!!
