It was a fun concert, but it looked like Dream Theater didnt want to be there or something. JOe put on a great performance, but he didnt play Surfing With The Alien. Thats like his biggest and most liked song. that kind of pissed me off. I am going to see G3 in October. Im sure that will kick this show's ass.

I went to this concert to see Dream Theater, but as soon as Joe hit the stage I was hooked. The only album by him I had heard previous to the concert was Surfing with the Alien, so it was cool to hear "Satch Boogie" and "Crushing Day". Joe is a god

Joe's playing was so insane. I was so stoked to finally get to see him, and hear him live, that I could barely sit down. ( Sorry to the guys sitting behind me. I really was trying to stay in my seat). Great set list Justin ! It was if every note, from every song was being pumped streight into my vains. Definatley "One Big Rush". I was also very fortunate to have gotten the oportunity to meet Joe , as well as Eric, and Matt. They were all way cool , and down to earth. And eventually, I did end up washing the hand I shook Joe's with. These guys are ALL very talented.

Hey hey!! Great show. I very rarely get to see Satch in concert (twice in about 4 years) so this was a GREAT treat! I missed Kings X, but Dream Theater was pretty good... And then there's Joe. Last time (also my FIRST time) I saw Joe was at the American Music Festival in Winter Park Colorado, and he wasn't headlining. It was so cool to finally see him rule his own stage. I heard one sadly misguided man commont just before Joe's show "He's good, but there's no way Joe can follow up Dream Theater." That poor soul must have been kicking himself in the face after Joe's first song. Midnight was INCREDIBLE! My favorite of the night. My other fav was Mindstorm, which is my favorite track off the new album. hmm, I'm babbling. All summed up: Joe Is The Greatest!

HE IS NOT OF THIS WORLD.........KOETTER YOU FOOL - I WOULD HAVE BOUGHT THAT BACKSTAGE PASS FOR $60 BUCKS AND YOU GOT CAUGHT TRYING TO SELL IT FOR $80 AND HAD THEM TAKEN AWAY... AND NEITHER OF US GOT TO MEET SATRIANI..........THE SUSHI WAS SUPERB...... BUT SOME CLOWN IN THE MARINA NEXT DOOR WAS COOKING HAMBURGERS ON A BBQ AND THE WHOLE VENUE GOT SKANKED OUT..THAT LEAD SINGER OF DREAM THEATRE WAS JOKING ABOUT IT.. A GUY STANDING NEXT TO ME STARTED JOKING WITH ME ON HOW THE DREAM THEATRE LEAD SINGER LOOKED LIKE FABIO, I TOLD HIM "THIS IS WHAT FABIO DOES IN HIS SPARE TIME".........SATRIANI WAS EXXXTREMIST....A TRUE "VIN DIESEL" OF THE GUITAR.

Simply an amazing night.... Humpreys is small and personal. It was like just hanging with 1500 friends...... Well less a few wearing hats with poor attitudes. :O) Dreamtheater rocked, Kings X was great, and Joe was just 100% pro..... The 2, 7 string songs were just amazing,,,, the lowend just kicked ass. Mindstorm and and 7 string were the high light for me. Good music and my beautiful girl Amy at myside! What more could I ask for.

A special thanks to Joe, Dream theater and Kings X for an awesome night on the bay....

unbelievable! we are from pittsburgh and catch joe where and when we can. we were in sd on business and sat in the 2nd row right in front of joe! does anyone think like my wife and i that dream theatre was fighting amongst themselves or something? what a downer. i second the motion to ditch these guys as soon as possible. and who ever heard of the lead singer leaving the stage during songs while he is not singing? o.k. for an occasional break but not every stinkin time! total lack of band support! oh well back to joe...joe why don't you do just a joe satriani tour? it is true....you are not of this earth! we love you!

This has been the best concert ever!! August 9th is the day of my birthday... I got the best presents ever :) : I got to meet Joe, Jordan Rudess, Mike Portnoy & John Myung. John Petrucci was quite mean, you guys! Plus!! I got Joe Satriani's pick! Joe is down to earth guy and he doesn't have a rock star attitude at all. Going back to the concert... King's X, Dream Theater and Joe were awesome... that's all I can think about: 100% 2 thumbs up... and if I had more thumbs, I would give them more thumbs up.

I agree with the previous post. The show was great!! Hearing "crushing day" was a real treat. The songs from the new record sounded great with the seven string guitar. adding the little bit of "memories" to the end of "crush" was cool but I would have loved to hear that whole song. memories is a personal favorite of mine - the live version on the dreaming LP is a jaw dropper. The real treat was getting him to sign my well worn Chromeboy "THANKS GALEN - YOU CAME THROUGH BIG TIME". Joe not only signed it but he piut his stamp on it with a really cool cacricature of himself that takes up the whole top portion of the giuitar. Joe also signed my "surfin" picture disk - way cool. I can now begin to build the shrine. I just have to get some velvet ropes from the bank or something.

As the previous post said. Joe had to leave urgentally and couldnt stay and chat for a while. I would have loved to get a picture with him, but until next year. I am amazed he stays at all to chat since he is in the middle of a world tour. Thanks JOE and thanks GALEN.

Great show again! [my 14th] Not a fan of Dream Theatre or Kings X but they were good. Stick with the "An Evening with Joe Satriani" format!!! But Joe was great as usual. He had fun playing [as usual!] and played some songs that I haven't heard in a long time: Crushing Day was fantastic! The all two-hand tapping of Midnight was of course jaw dropping to watch. And adding part of Memories and some improv to the end of Crush of Love was great to mix it up. Won aftershow passes which is very cool. Jeff Campitelli was nice and funny as always. Unfortunately, something was urgent and Joe could only stay for a very short while, but nice as always. Met Justin a photographer/guitarist and it turns out we sat by each other at a Sun Theatre gig a couple years back which was his first Satch concert. Small world. Can't wait for the L.A. show... and the aftershow... gonna see my fellow bowling league friend, Kirk Campitelli, Jeff's cousin. Small world, indeed. Joe: THANKS AGAIN FOR PLAYING "Crushing Day", "Midnight", and "I Believe" [not acoustic as in the past, but full on electric... cool!!!] Hope to hear "Big Bad Moon", "Lords of Karma", and "Ceremony".
